With 12 years of relentless touring behind them, Vermont-based rock band Twiddle has built an impressive resume spanning Red Rocks to Bonnaroo, and multiple sellouts of historic rock venues including Port Chester, NY's Capitol Theatre, and Washington D.C.'s 9:30 Club. And with the second half of the band's third studio album, PLUMP, on the horizon, the band's career continues to catapult forward. Buoyed by the generous support of 359 Kickstarter donors, the 27-song album does more than showcase the group's beautiful music, but also tells an important story, comprised in PLUMP Chapters 1 & 2.Recorded during a two-year span with legendary producer Ron St. Germain, PLUMP serves as a reflection of four brothers' triumphs and struggles, both individual and as a whole. On Chapter 1, songs like "Lost in the Cold" and "Every Soul" detail what it's like to hit rock bottom and how to rise back up."So many fans have shared how these songs carried them through very difficult times, and that alone makes this all worth it," said Brook Jordan, Twiddle's percussionist and vocalist. Comparatively, Chapter 2 contains genre-bending instrumentals, as well as mystifying epics like"Nicodemus Portulay" and "Orlando's." More than ten years later, these songs mirror the earliest Twiddle arrangements of 2004-2005 when Mihali Savoulidis and Ryan Dempsey were collaborating in their freshmen dorms at Castleton State College. The completion of PLUMP is timely, coming at a moment when the band's fervent fan base is at an all-time high and expanding rapidly.In the live setting, more and more people are invigorated by Twiddle's community, promoting positivity and the band's skillful improvisational music. Classically-trained as a violinist from an early age, Appling's organic approach to electronic music production draws inspiration from a wide range of international cultures and musical genres, culminating in a refreshingly authentic brand of electronic music that has infiltrated global consciousness. 2015 was a busy year having released Live In Athens in June, and Dusk to Dawn Remixes -- a remix album featuring massively-popular contributions from the likes of ODESZA, Little People, Eliot Lipp, and more -- in July, 2015 and now his first full length album in three years, Seven Seas. Seven Seas is the product of over two years of work, collaborations, experiences, and live performances all culminating in a cohesive collection of songs that solidifies that Emancipator is only getting better with age.

In similar fashion, energetic splashes of funk, alternative, rock, R&B, and psychedelia color the music of Turkuaz. Balancing male-female harmonies, strutting guitars, wild horn arrangements, and interminable grooves, this spirit takes shape in the color donned by each respective member on stage nightly via larger-than-life performances.The Brooklyn-based nonet—Dave Brandwein [guitar, vocals], Taylor Shell [bass], Craig Brodhead [guitar, keys], Michelangelo Carubba [drums], Chris Brouwers [trumpet, keys], Greg Sanderson [tenor sax], Josh Schwartz [baritone sax, vocals], Sammi Garett [vocals], and Shira Elias [vocals]—ignite an explosion of energy punctuated by neon hues, deft musicality, and show-stopping singalongs on their fifth full-length album, Life In The City.“Turkuaz is made up of individuals, each their own shade of the color spectrum,” explains Dave. “Each person brings a signature style and embodies his or her own color. The respective auras come together to create our sound. The name itself implies that vibrancy, but it’s a different spin on turquoise. In the same way, we put a different spin on groove-oriented music by telling stories that you wouldn’t normally associate with funk.”Since emerging in 2011 with their self-titled debut, the group have quietly animated a movement.Touring incessantly in support of four full-length studio albums and three official live releases, they’ve lit up stages everywhere from Bonnaroo, Hulaween, Okeechobe, Electric Forest, and Mountain Jam to Telluride Jazz, High Sierra, and Lock’n, in between gracing stages at legendary spots such as Red Rocks, Terminal 5, and The Fillmore, to name a few. Among numerous critical plaudits, The New Yorker claimed, “This Brooklyn-based nine-piece delivers horn-filled funk incorporating elements of R&B, psychedelic pop, gospel, Afro-pop, New Wave, classic rock, and just about any genre that gets people dancing.”Most recently, 2015’s Digitonium yielded fan favorites such as “Nightswimming” and “European Festivity Nightmare” and generated over 1 million-plus cumulative streams. When it came time to commence work on Life In The City, the musicians switched up the flow and took a different approach.“We did Digitonium in a short period of time and created a concept based on The Sword in the Stone,” says Dave. “We sifted through a lot more material for Life In The City. We threw all of the paint on the canvas. There was more collaboration in the writing. Some members who hadn’t participated before brought ideas to the table. We didn’t have anything road-mapped. In that respect, it was exploratory as far as who we are sonically. The same goes for the lyrics. Beyond the turmoil in current events and the world, I was going through some difficult challenges in my personal life. So, Life In The City is more based in reality and the experience I’ve lived in the past few years than a fantasy like the last record. The city is representative of modern life and all of these distractions we face day to day.”In order to capture that vision, they first recorded at More Sound in Upstate New York before moving to Dave’s own newly relocated Galaxy Smith Studios in Brooklyn. Avowed fans of the Stop Making Sense film, they tapped Jerry Harrison of Talking Heads to produce standalone single “On The Run” and album track “If I Ever Fall Asleep” at The Bunker Studios.“I’m extremely hands-on, so it was a growth experience to see someone else’s take on the band,” adds Dave. “Overall, Jerry made us as a band think about things we wouldn’t have otherwise. It was really beneficial.”The group officially introduce the album with the first single and title track “Life In The City.” Funkified guitars wrap around otherworldly synths and rapturous horns as the words “Blind in the spotlight” glare.“That line stands out to me,” Dave continues. “There’s so much stimulus in the city and in modern life in general. So much is going on. Light is constantly shined on what we do, how we act, social media, and the urban hustle and bustle that we’re blind to what’s really going on underneath. That line sums up what the song is about. We’re not able to take a breath and experience the simplicity of reality anymore. We forget to be who we really are.”A collaborative effort with several band members, the swaggering cry of “Lady Lovely” tells an intergalactic horror story disguised as cross-species romance, complete with “creature” giggles from the song’s vocalist Josh Schwartz. Schwartz also co-wrote “If I ever Fall Asleep,” portraying the “paranoid ramblings of an insomniac holed up in his apartment.”Punctuated by robust horns, “Superstatic” illuminates another side of Turkuaz as it touts lyrics “about letting go and having fun for a minute.” Meanwhile, on the more personal side, upbeat delivery and synth squeals underscore a poignant admission for Dave on “The One and Lonely.”“It’s about kicking a lot of habits and stepping away from vices,” he admits. “The song highlights the struggle I had with substances and alcohol as well as the process I went through trying to shed the struggle. Drinking and drug use is a huge part of the road for most bands. It got to a point where it was too much for me though. This album documents me taking a step back and saying, ‘I want to live for a long time. I want to stop and take in what’s actually happening to me—not just party all the time.’”It’s that honesty that has reinvigorated how far down the line the band has its sights set. And even in the midst of serious subject matter creeping in on this album, the musicianship of all nine band members and the group’s upbeat, fun-loving sensibility still shines through to give Turkuaz fans the joyous sound they’ve come to know over the last several years.“I would love for our music to be a bright spot in an otherwise dark world,” he leaves off. “You can come to our shows, let go, exist, and have a good time in spite of what may be going on outside. That’s what music does for us. We want to share that.”

10 Ft. Ganja Plant was born from a desire to play the only music most of us knew how, and to water the tree that had borne each of us such abundant fruit, and yet in the summer of 1999, seemed in danger of disappearing from the world... Roots Reggae. Being collectors of the music, we sought out many pieces of vintage equipment to make these records. At the time, most of us were out touring for several weeks at a time with John Brown’s Body. We would get off the road and run to the studio, which at the time was called “Mang Studio”, or, as some of us called it, home, and try out ideas for new songs. Throughout the summer’s long, sweltering sessions, we would frequently take breaks, hitting the rooftop to get a breath of fresh air and watch and wait for the next track to begin to materialize, usually right out of the thick air. Then back down to put it to tape. Raw.The amount of material we were creating began to grow quickly and something clicked inside us all. The album Presents debuted in 2000 and was released on the Ithaca based imprint known as I-Town Records. As we continued to build up an arsenal of music we decided to present the next batch of material (recorded on consumer JVC cassette decks) to a friend. In doing so our family grew to include the underground NYC record label ROIR! (Reach Out International Records). From there we continued to grow as a group of friends and family, musicians and engineers. The Plant has always been all about the music and what follows is a chronology of the subsequent releases.The first release with ROIR was Hillside Airstrip in 2001. The sound began to develop as any number of musical friends would stop through for vibes on any given day. From this point on, the studio was like a revolving door of musicians cutting tracks and trying out new song ideas. We never included credits in the liner notes, as tribute to all the unnamed heroes of Jamaican music who gave so much to the world, for no material gain, but for a chance to be heard. Not for vanity, but for the upliftment of humanity.Midnight Landing arrived in 2003 reiterating the band’s passion for music deeply rooted in the mid to late 70′s Jamaican style. The bass got heavier and the drums bigger, the melodies stronger and the ganja smoke thicker. Bass Chalice followed in 2005. Touring slowed for some, life decisions took people into different parts of the world and realms of music. A long break was taken to gather the vibes, build a new studio and lay the foundation for what would become Bush Rock which was released in 2009, reaching new levels of psychedelic sounds and heavy bass.After Bush Rock was released, we began to look farther back to classic sounds of groups like The Upsetters, Silvertones, Pioneers, Gladiators, Gregory Isaacs, Lee Perry, The Maytones, Burning Spear and some of the great instrumentalists that graced their tracks, such as Ernest Ranglin, Lynn Taitt, Jackie Mittoo, Carlton and Family Man Barrett, and countless others. We had grown together and evolved the sound to a point where a return to the deepest root was in order. In April of 2010 the Plant decided to do a quick, fully instrumental record as a special digital-only release to coincide with the launch of 10 Ft.ganjaplant.com. The idea behind what has become the Deadly Shots Trilogy was to take a more relaxed and natural approach to playing riddims that were just pure vibe, to give folks just a little more music to enjoy in the summer months, featuring one predominant instrument on each record. It was decided that the Saxophone would carry 10 Deadly Shots Volume 1.For the next several records the harvests continue to alternate between the all instrumental, bare bones treatment, and the other, “dubbier” end of the production spectrum. 2011 yielded the next vocal album, Shake Up The Place, featuring two brand new original songs by classic Jamaican singer Sylford Walker, as well as two chats by the incomparable Prince Jazzbo. Also sprinkled in were a couple of big new tunes from 10 Ft. regulars Jay Champany and Kevin Kinsella, and a few hard core dubs to round out the tracklist. Shake Up The Place stayed at the top of the iTunes reggae charts for longer than we thought possible and a quick search for 10 Ft. on youtube revealed that our music was now on the global stage.The 10 Ft. Ganja Plant story could have ended there. After a decade of making the music we all felt so deep in our bones, hearing the voices of our musical heroes gracing the tracks, seeing over a million youtube hits on Chalwa (Track 1 on our debut release), mostly in South America and Europe, it would have been easy to enjoy these accomplishments, lose momentum and not do much of anything for a while. But as it turned out there were two things that needed doing right away.Roger Rivas (of Aggrolites fame) had been doing some work in town and the idea to feature his wicked organ style on 10 Deadly Shots Volume 2 was a no brainer and the chance could not be missed. We spent two days in the studio and decided to strike up the band for a big CD release party in April of 2012. It was our first gig since our fledgling years and tickets sold out quickly. We had a blast and played a decent enough show. Now that we had finally taken it to the stage it was hard to go back to being strictly a studio band. We had re-discovered the thrill of flying freehand.2013 brought 10 Ft. Ganja Plant’s 9th full length release for ROIR records, Skycatcher. All lead vocals come from the core members of the Plant this time, with one song coming from Nate Silas Richardson, his first lead vocal since Bass Chalice in 2005. After a show each in Boston and NYC celebrating the the release of Skycatcher it was straight back to the studio. 2014’s 10 Deadly Shots Volume 3, featured sweet melodies played mostly on a 1950’s Gibson Super 400 guitar, depicted on the album artwork amidst deadly flowers herbs and vines, whose folk names provide the song titles for the all instrumental album.We’ve got more music in the works - for release in the near future, but in the meantime, we are looking forward to returning to the Sinclair to celebrate the end of 2015 and the beginning of 2016 with our friends John Brown's Body, and you!The extended 10 Ft Ganja Plant musical family will be there. In making his fourth album Wash It in the Water, Zach Deputy dreamed up a sunny and soulful new sound that fuses hip-hop, funk, and folky pop with the spirited rhythms of soca and calypso. With that sound embodied by the album’s brightly melodic and richly textured title track, Wash It in the Water finds the Georgia-based singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist mining his Puerto Rican and Cruzan heritage for inspiration.“Because of the music I was raised on, I’ve always heard rhythm in a very tropical, Latin-esque way—it’s something that resonates in the deepest parts of me,” says Deputy, who grew up in South Carolina. “When I was a kid my grandma would play a lot of salsa and soca and make me get up and dance to it, so in a way this is me putting my own spin on all that and bringing those sounds into a whole new era.”With Deputy playing every instrument on the album, Wash It in the Water was self-produced in spontaneous sessions that took place in studios and homes and sometimes in Deputy’s garage. “Each time I recorded it was mostly just for fun,” he says. “I wasn’t trying to make anything happen, I was just going with what felt good.” As a result, Wash It in the Water bears a warm, natural feel that permeates everything from the intricate guitar work and tender vocals of “Jump in the Water” (a serenade to Deputy’s seven-year-old daughter) to the groove-heavy funk of “Put It in the Boogie” (a celebration of the joyfully chaotic life of a musician) to the piano-driven balladry of “Loving You” (a powerful meditation on unconditional love).Despite the spur-of-the-moment approach, Wash It in the Water emerges as a gracefully arranged effort that owes much to the musicianship and songcraft Deputy’s honed since getting his first guitar at age 13. By his mid-teens he’d started up a series of garage bands, balancing his own projects with playing in local big bands and soul groups. “I was this 16-year-old white kid crushing it in a Motown band, and because of that I got to learn a lot about respecting the composition,” Deputy recalls. “To me music is a bunch of small pieces fitting together to form this beautiful castle.”In his early 20s, Deputy experienced a major turning point that would take his music in an entirely new direction. “I was playing in a band but I wasn’t inspired—music wasn’t bringing me the joy that it used to, and I felt like I might be done with it altogether,” he says. Along with quitting the band mid-tour, Deputy traded in his electric guitar and amp for a nylon-string acoustic and moved back home to work construction with his dad. “At work all day I’d have this music in my head, and as soon as I got home I’d go straight to the guitar,” he says. Serendipitously landing a solo gig by walking into a bar just after that night’s featured artist had bailed, Deputy soon introduced the world to the sound he’d eventually dub“island-infused, drum ‘n’ bass, gospel-ninja-soul.” By 2008 he’d released his debut album Out of the Water and—thanks to his ingenuity in looping—made his name as an unforgettable one-man-band live act.In reflecting on his path as a musical artist, Deputy likens that creative awakening to the message at the heart of “Wash It in the Water.” “That song’s about cleansing yourself from all the nonsense of the world—starting fresh, a rebirth of sorts,” he says. And whether performing live or creating new music, Deputy aspires to guide listeners toward a renewal of their own. “I try to give people a little soul massage,” he says. “In music you get so raw and make yourself naked to the world, and hopefully people can find themselves in that and realize they’re not alone. For me touching someone’s life in a positive way is the best thing about making music, and that’s what’s kept me going with it for all these years.”

The band was formed in East Haven, Connecticut in 1998 with the original lineup consisting of guitarist Tim Palmieri, bassist Ron Spears, drummer Adrian Tramontano, and keyboardist Jordan Giangreco. They decided on their first name, Psychedelic Breakfast, based on the suggestion of Tramontano's cousin. It is a reference to the Pink Floyd song "Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast", from their album Atom Heart Mother. The band then began playing shows in Northeast and released their first album, Psychedelic Breakfast, in the summer of 1999. Four songs from that album were featured on the MTV series Undressed.The band released their second studio album, Deuce, in the summer of 2001, followed by their only live album, Bona Fide, in the winter of 2003, a time during which they began supplementing their Northeast shows with the occasional national tour.The band then won a Jammy Award for being "New Groove of the Year" in 2004 and shortly thereafter decided to change its name to The Breakfast. Also around this time, Relix Magazine printed an article about the band.In the summer of 2005, The Breakfast released their third studio album, Real Radio, and embarked on a national tour that saw them open for popular bands such as The Wailers, moe., North Mississippi Allstars, and Gomez.The Breakfast then released their fourth studio album, Moxie Epoxy, in the spring of 2006.On July 7, 2006, shortly after The Breakfast had played its 1,000th show, Giangreco played his final show with the band at Beardslee Castle in Little Falls, NY. Palmieri, Spears, and Tramontano then continued on as a trio for the next 13 months with Palmieri handling keyboard duties in addition to guitar.On August 12, 2007, Matt Oestreicher played his first show as The Breakfast's new keyboardist at Gathering of the Vibes in Bridgeport, CT.On Dec. 31, 2007, Spears played his final show as The Breakfast's bassist at Electric Company in Utica, N.Y. At Spears's second-to-last show two nights prior at Toad's Place in New Haven, CT, Giangreco joined The Breakfast for four songs to close the performance, including a stellar version of one of the band's most highly regarded songs, Mooboo's Voodoo (Episode 2), and then a cover of Emerson, Lake & Palmer's "Karn Evil 9", with Spears on lead vocals. A 'Thank You' video montage featuring Spears, the other members of the band, and their friends was also shown.On Jan 11, 2008, Chris DeAngelis played his first show as The Breakfast's new bassist at Sully's in Hartford, CT. DeAngelis, a Connecticut native, has played with Vermont's Turkey Bouillon Mafia and shared the stage with members of P-Funk, Eric Kalb (Deep Banana Blackout), Dave Grippo (Trey Anastasio Band), Fred Hersch, Chris Parker, and others.

BeefStu plays Covers & Original music. Both focusing on improvisational rock music, as well as everything from classic rock, blues, funk, and fusion, putting in our own twist and turns along the way. Our sound is heavily influenced by the Grateful Dead, Phish, Max Creek, and others. The band Improvises and experiments with sounds and tempos to keep the music fresh and alive, making every show a different experience!BeefStu was formed in Franklin, NH in 2013, and started as a power trio with Chris and Nick Palermo, and Stu Leblanc. They played all covers and played sporadic shows wherever they could get booked for the first few years. Then in 2016, the three musicians met guitarist Travis Landry (and another musician, Dave McGahan, a drummer, who will come into the picture later on) who ran a full band open mic/ jam at the Woodstock Station in Woodstock, NH. They became the unofficial House Band for the open mic, and would usually play most of the night, and Travis began to join them on the stage more and more. In May of 2016, Travis officially joined BeefStu as their new Rythym guitarist. They started getting tighter and more experienced, especially during their time jamming at the open mic together, and we're now booking shows at better places but still not where they wanted to be. They start recording their first original music at the end of 2016. Stu's mother passed, unexpectedly and tragically, in Italy, during the holidays, and the band didn't play many shows for the winter. RIP Judy LeBlanc.Spring 2017: Now the band is starting to play places they fit in, and gaining more fans into their genre of music. They release their first Original EP, 'All Because of Stu' in the Spring/ Summer of 2017 on Digital Copy only (find this on livebeefstu/band camp.com). In the summer and fall they start playing all over the state of NH. The winter taken off, except for a short run of shows.In 2018, the band played a small tour in the Spring and Summer, playing in the northern New England States, and at a few well known Festivals and started gaining a bunch of new fans who love their style. But early into the Summer Tour, Stu steps down from the drum kit to focus on his personal life. It's a big loss for the band, but completely supported, with no bad feelings left on the table. With the band's namesake gone a lot of quick decisions had to be made, as there were contractual obligations that still needed to be fulfilled, as well as many other issues. The Band decided to keep the name, and bring in Drummer, and all around great musician (and person) Dave McGahan. Dave had played with the front three of the band numerous times in the past at the Woodstock Station open mics. The transition went fairly smooth because of this. Stu is missed, but the band lives on, and only getting better. There is more determination than ever to reach certain goals, and there's a fresh vibe in the air, as the four are all on the same page when it comes to what's expected and where they would like be in the future.

Jordan's musical adventures started as a child earning himself a scholarship at the Neighborhood Music School in New Haven Ct. Before the age of 21 he began attending the Sunday night blues jams hosted by the Robert Crotty blues band at a well known local music club and eventually became the house keyboardist. From then on Jordan became one of the areas favorite keyboard players working with various acts including former Marvin Gay musical director 'George Baker'. In 1996 Jordan joined CT's premier Grateful Dead cover band 'Shakedown' playing various clubs around the Northeast including multiple gigs at Toads Place in New Haven.He eventually partnered up with some home town friends from East Haven forming the jamband group 'Psychedelic Breakfast' recording 5 full length albums and touring the US and Canada playing many Music venues and festivals including Gathering of the Vibes, Moe Down, High Sierra and 10,000 Lakes and earning an award at the 2005 Jammy Awards. In 2011 he joined the Rhode Island jam group 'Viral Sound' continuing to hit the Northeast festival circuit. Jordans musical career currently continues to blossom having shared the stage with various well known acts including members of Living Colour, Parliament Funkadelic ,Max Creek, Pink Talking Fish,New Riders Of the Purple Sage, Zen Tricksters and many others. His versatile abilities have earned him the go to guy for live performances and studio sessions around the country.

Buoyed by the generous support of 359 Kickstarter donors, the 27-song album does more than showcase the group's beautiful music, but also tells an important story, comprised in PLUMP Chapters 1 & 2.Recorded during a two-year span with legendary producer Ron St. Germain, PLUMP serves as a reflection of four brothers' triumphs and struggles, both individual and as a whole. On Chapter 1, songs like "Lost in the Cold" and "Every Soul" detail what it's like to hit rock bottom and how to rise back up."So many fans have shared how these songs carried them through very difficult times, and that alone makes this all worth it," said Brook Jordan, Twiddle's percussionist and vocalist. Comparatively, Chapter 2 contains genre-bending instrumentals, as well as mystifying epics like"Nicodemus Portulay" and "Orlando's." More than ten years later, these songs mirror the earliest Twiddle arrangements of 2004-2005 when Mihali Savoulidis and Ryan Dempsey were collaborating in their freshmen dorms at Castleton State College. In similar fashion, energetic splashes of funk, alternative, rock, R&B, and psychedelia color the music of Turkuaz. Balancing male-female harmonies, strutting guitars, wild horn arrangements, and interminable grooves, this spirit takes shape in the color donned by each respective member on stage nightly via larger-than-life performances.The Brooklyn-based nonet—Dave Brandwein [guitar, vocals], Taylor Shell [bass], Craig Brodhead [guitar, keys], Michelangelo Carubba [drums], Chris Brouwers [trumpet, keys], Greg Sanderson [tenor sax], Josh Schwartz [baritone sax, vocals], Sammi Garett [vocals], and Shira Elias [vocals]—ignite an explosion of energy punctuated by neon hues, deft musicality, and show-stopping singalongs on their fifth full-length album, Life In The City.“Turkuaz is made up of individuals, each their own shade of the color spectrum,” explains Dave. “Each person brings a signature style and embodies his or her own color. The respective auras come together to create our sound. The name itself implies that vibrancy, but it’s a different spin on turquoise. In the same way, we put a different spin on groove-oriented music by telling stories that you wouldn’t normally associate with funk.”Since emerging in 2011 with their self-titled debut, the group have quietly animated a movement.Touring incessantly in support of four full-length studio albums and three official live releases, they’ve lit up stages everywhere from Bonnaroo, Hulaween, Okeechobe, Electric Forest, and Mountain Jam to Telluride Jazz, High Sierra, and Lock’n, in between gracing stages at legendary spots such as Red Rocks, Terminal 5, and The Fillmore, to name a few. Among numerous critical plaudits, The New Yorker claimed, “This Brooklyn-based nine-piece delivers horn-filled funk incorporating elements of R&B, psychedelic pop, gospel, Afro-pop, New Wave, classic rock, and just about any genre that gets people dancing.”Most recently, 2015’s Digitonium yielded fan favorites such as “Nightswimming” and “European Festivity Nightmare” and generated over 1 million-plus cumulative streams. When it came time to commence work on Life In The City, the musicians switched up the flow and took a different approach.“We did Digitonium in a short period of time and created a concept based on The Sword in the Stone,” says Dave. “We sifted through a lot more material for Life In The City. We threw all of the paint on the canvas. There was more collaboration in the writing. Some members who hadn’t participated before brought ideas to the table. We didn’t have anything road-mapped. In that respect, it was exploratory as far as who we are sonically. The same goes for the lyrics. Beyond the turmoil in current events and the world, I was going through some difficult challenges in my personal life. So, Life In The City is more based in reality and the experience I’ve lived in the past few years than a fantasy like the last record. The city is representative of modern life and all of these distractions we face day to day.”In order to capture that vision, they first recorded at More Sound in Upstate New York before moving to Dave’s own newly relocated Galaxy Smith Studios in Brooklyn. Avowed fans of the Stop Making Sense film, they tapped Jerry Harrison of Talking Heads to produce standalone single “On The Run” and album track “If I Ever Fall Asleep” at The Bunker Studios.“I’m extremely hands-on, so it was a growth experience to see someone else’s take on the band,” adds Dave. “Overall, Jerry made us as a band think about things we wouldn’t have otherwise. It was really beneficial.”The group officially introduce the album with the first single and title track “Life In The City.” Funkified guitars wrap around otherworldly synths and rapturous horns as the words “Blind in the spotlight” glare.“That line stands out to me,” Dave continues. “There’s so much stimulus in the city and in modern life in general. So much is going on. Light is constantly shined on what we do, how we act, social media, and the urban hustle and bustle that we’re blind to what’s really going on underneath. That line sums up what the song is about. We’re not able to take a breath and experience the simplicity of reality anymore. We forget to be who we really are.”A collaborative effort with several band members, the swaggering cry of “Lady Lovely” tells an intergalactic horror story disguised as cross-species romance, complete with “creature” giggles from the song’s vocalist Josh Schwartz. Schwartz also co-wrote “If I ever Fall Asleep,” portraying the “paranoid ramblings of an insomniac holed up in his apartment.”Punctuated by robust horns, “Superstatic” illuminates another side of Turkuaz as it touts lyrics “about letting go and having fun for a minute.” Meanwhile, on the more personal side, upbeat delivery and synth squeals underscore a poignant admission for Dave on “The One and Lonely.”“It’s about kicking a lot of habits and stepping away from vices,” he admits. “The song highlights the struggle I had with substances and alcohol as well as the process I went through trying to shed the struggle. Drinking and drug use is a huge part of the road for most bands. It got to a point where it was too much for me though. This album documents me taking a step back and saying, ‘I want to live for a long time. I want to stop and take in what’s actually happening to me—not just party all the time.’”It’s that honesty that has reinvigorated how far down the line the band has its sights set. And even in the midst of serious subject matter creeping in on this album, the musicianship of all nine band members and the group’s upbeat, fun-loving sensibility still shines through to give Turkuaz fans the joyous sound they’ve come to know over the last several years.“I would love for our music to be a bright spot in an otherwise dark world,” he leaves off. “You can come to our shows, let go, exist, and have a good time in spite of what may be going on outside. That’s what music does for us. We want to share that.”

10 Ft. Ganja Plant was born from a desire to play the only music most of us knew how, and to water the tree that had borne each of us such abundant fruit, and yet in the summer of 1999, seemed in danger of disappearing from the world... Roots Reggae. Being collectors of the music, we sought out many pieces of vintage equipment to make these records. At the time, most of us were out touring for several weeks at a time with John Brown’s Body. We would get off the road and run to the studio, which at the time was called “Mang Studio”, or, as some of us called it, home, and try out ideas for new songs. Throughout the summer’s long, sweltering sessions, we would frequently take breaks, hitting the rooftop to get a breath of fresh air and watch and wait for the next track to begin to materialize, usually right out of the thick air. Then back down to put it to tape. Raw.The amount of material we were creating began to grow quickly and something clicked inside us all. The album Presents debuted in 2000 and was released on the Ithaca based imprint known as I-Town Records. As we continued to build up an arsenal of music we decided to present the next batch of material (recorded on consumer JVC cassette decks) to a friend. In doing so our family grew to include the underground NYC record label ROIR! (Reach Out International Records). From there we continued to grow as a group of friends and family, musicians and engineers. The Plant has always been all about the music and what follows is a chronology of the subsequent releases.The first release with ROIR was Hillside Airstrip in 2001. The sound began to develop as any number of musical friends would stop through for vibes on any given day. From this point on, the studio was like a revolving door of musicians cutting tracks and trying out new song ideas. We never included credits in the liner notes, as tribute to all the unnamed heroes of Jamaican music who gave so much to the world, for no material gain, but for a chance to be heard. Not for vanity, but for the upliftment of humanity.Midnight Landing arrived in 2003 reiterating the band’s passion for music deeply rooted in the mid to late 70′s Jamaican style. The bass got heavier and the drums bigger, the melodies stronger and the ganja smoke thicker. Bass Chalice followed in 2005. Touring slowed for some, life decisions took people into different parts of the world and realms of music. A long break was taken to gather the vibes, build a new studio and lay the foundation for what would become Bush Rock which was released in 2009, reaching new levels of psychedelic sounds and heavy bass.After Bush Rock was released, we began to look farther back to classic sounds of groups like The Upsetters, Silvertones, Pioneers, Gladiators, Gregory Isaacs, Lee Perry, The Maytones, Burning Spear and some of the great instrumentalists that graced their tracks, such as Ernest Ranglin, Lynn Taitt, Jackie Mittoo, Carlton and Family Man Barrett, and countless others. We had grown together and evolved the sound to a point where a return to the deepest root was in order. In April of 2010 the Plant decided to do a quick, fully instrumental record as a special digital-only release to coincide with the launch of 10 Ft.ganjaplant.com. The idea behind what has become the Deadly Shots Trilogy was to take a more relaxed and natural approach to playing riddims that were just pure vibe, to give folks just a little more music to enjoy in the summer months, featuring one predominant instrument on each record. It was decided that the Saxophone would carry 10 Deadly Shots Volume 1.For the next several records the harvests continue to alternate between the all instrumental, bare bones treatment, and the other, “dubbier” end of the production spectrum. 2011 yielded the next vocal album, Shake Up The Place, featuring two brand new original songs by classic Jamaican singer Sylford Walker, as well as two chats by the incomparable Prince Jazzbo. Also sprinkled in were a couple of big new tunes from 10 Ft. regulars Jay Champany and Kevin Kinsella, and a few hard core dubs to round out the tracklist. Shake Up The Place stayed at the top of the iTunes reggae charts for longer than we thought possible and a quick search for 10 Ft. on youtube revealed that our music was now on the global stage.The 10 Ft. Ganja Plant story could have ended there. After a decade of making the music we all felt so deep in our bones, hearing the voices of our musical heroes gracing the tracks, seeing over a million youtube hits on Chalwa (Track 1 on our debut release), mostly in South America and Europe, it would have been easy to enjoy these accomplishments, lose momentum and not do much of anything for a while. But as it turned out there were two things that needed doing right away.Roger Rivas (of Aggrolites fame) had been doing some work in town and the idea to feature his wicked organ style on 10 Deadly Shots Volume 2 was a no brainer and the chance could not be missed. We spent two days in the studio and decided to strike up the band for a big CD release party in April of 2012. It was our first gig since our fledgling years and tickets sold out quickly. We had a blast and played a decent enough show. Now that we had finally taken it to the stage it was hard to go back to being strictly a studio band. We had re-discovered the thrill of flying freehand.2013 brought 10 Ft. Ganja Plant’s 9th full length release for ROIR records, Skycatcher. All lead vocals come from the core members of the Plant this time, with one song coming from Nate Silas Richardson, his first lead vocal since Bass Chalice in 2005. After a show each in Boston and NYC celebrating the the release of Skycatcher it was straight back to the studio. 2014’s 10 Deadly Shots Volume 3, featured sweet melodies played mostly on a 1950’s Gibson Super 400 guitar, depicted on the album artwork amidst deadly flowers herbs and vines, whose folk names provide the song titles for the all instrumental album.We’ve got more music in the works - for release in the near future, but in the meantime, we are looking forward to returning to the Sinclair to celebrate the end of 2015 and the beginning of 2016 with our friends John Brown's Body, and you!The extended 10 Ft Ganja Plant musical family will be there. In making his fourth album Wash It in the Water, Zach Deputy dreamed up a sunny and soulful new sound that fuses hip-hop, funk, and folky pop with the spirited rhythms of soca and calypso. With that sound embodied by the album’s brightly melodic and richly textured title track, Wash It in the Water finds the Georgia-based singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist mining his Puerto Rican and Cruzan heritage for inspiration.“Because of the music I was raised on, I’ve always heard rhythm in a very tropical, Latin-esque way—it’s something that resonates in the deepest parts of me,” says Deputy, who grew up in South Carolina. “When I was a kid my grandma would play a lot of salsa and soca and make me get up and dance to it, so in a way this is me putting my own spin on all that and bringing those sounds into a whole new era.”With Deputy playing every instrument on the album, Wash It in the Water was self-produced in spontaneous sessions that took place in studios and homes and sometimes in Deputy’s garage. “Each time I recorded it was mostly just for fun,” he says. “I wasn’t trying to make anything happen, I was just going with what felt good.” As a result, Wash It in the Water bears a warm, natural feel that permeates everything from the intricate guitar work and tender vocals of “Jump in the Water” (a serenade to Deputy’s seven-year-old daughter) to the groove-heavy funk of “Put It in the Boogie” (a celebration of the joyfully chaotic life of a musician) to the piano-driven balladry of “Loving You” (a powerful meditation on unconditional love).Despite the spur-of-the-moment approach, Wash It in the Water emerges as a gracefully arranged effort that owes much to the musicianship and songcraft Deputy’s honed since getting his first guitar at age 13. By his mid-teens he’d started up a series of garage bands, balancing his own projects with playing in local big bands and soul groups. “I was this 16-year-old white kid crushing it in a Motown band, and because of that I got to learn a lot about respecting the composition,” Deputy recalls. “To me music is a bunch of small pieces fitting together to form this beautiful castle.”In his early 20s, Deputy experienced a major turning point that would take his music in an entirely new direction. “I was playing in a band but I wasn’t inspired—music wasn’t bringing me the joy that it used to, and I felt like I might be done with it altogether,” he says. Along with quitting the band mid-tour, Deputy traded in his electric guitar and amp for a nylon-string acoustic and moved back home to work construction with his dad. “At work all day I’d have this music in my head, and as soon as I got home I’d go straight to the guitar,” he says. Serendipitously landing a solo gig by walking into a bar just after that night’s featured artist had bailed, Deputy soon introduced the world to the sound he’d eventually dub“island-infused, drum ‘n’ bass, gospel-ninja-soul.” By 2008 he’d released his debut album Out of the Water and—thanks to his ingenuity in looping—made his name as an unforgettable one-man-band live act.In reflecting on his path as a musical artist, Deputy likens that creative awakening to the message at the heart of “Wash It in the Water.” “That song’s about cleansing yourself from all the nonsense of the world—starting fresh, a rebirth of sorts,” he says. And whether performing live or creating new music, Deputy aspires to guide listeners toward a renewal of their own. “I try to give people a little soul massage,” he says. “In music you get so raw and make yourself naked to the world, and hopefully people can find themselves in that and realize they’re not alone. For me touching someone’s life in a positive way is the best thing about making music, and that’s what’s kept me going with it for all these years.”

The band was formed in East Haven, Connecticut in 1998 with the original lineup consisting of guitarist Tim Palmieri, bassist Ron Spears, drummer Adrian Tramontano, and keyboardist Jordan Giangreco. They decided on their first name, Psychedelic Breakfast, based on the suggestion of Tramontano's cousin. It is a reference to the Pink Floyd song "Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast", from their album Atom Heart Mother. The band then began playing shows in Northeast and released their first album, Psychedelic Breakfast, in the summer of 1999. Four songs from that album were featured on the MTV series Undressed.The band released their second studio album, Deuce, in the summer of 2001, followed by their only live album, Bona Fide, in the winter of 2003, a time during which they began supplementing their Northeast shows with the occasional national tour.The band then won a Jammy Award for being "New Groove of the Year" in 2004 and shortly thereafter decided to change its name to The Breakfast. Also around this time, Relix Magazine printed an article about the band.In the summer of 2005, The Breakfast released their third studio album, Real Radio, and embarked on a national tour that saw them open for popular bands such as The Wailers, moe., North Mississippi Allstars, and Gomez.The Breakfast then released their fourth studio album, Moxie Epoxy, in the spring of 2006.On July 7, 2006, shortly after The Breakfast had played its 1,000th show, Giangreco played his final show with the band at Beardslee Castle in Little Falls, NY. Palmieri, Spears, and Tramontano then continued on as a trio for the next 13 months with Palmieri handling keyboard duties in addition to guitar.On August 12, 2007, Matt Oestreicher played his first show as The Breakfast's new keyboardist at Gathering of the Vibes in Bridgeport, CT.On Dec. 31, 2007, Spears played his final show as The Breakfast's bassist at Electric Company in Utica, N.Y. At Spears's second-to-last show two nights prior at Toad's Place in New Haven, CT, Giangreco joined The Breakfast for four songs to close the performance, including a stellar version of one of the band's most highly regarded songs, Mooboo's Voodoo (Episode 2), and then a cover of Emerson, Lake & Palmer's "Karn Evil 9", with Spears on lead vocals. A 'Thank You' video montage featuring Spears, the other members of the band, and their friends was also shown.On Jan 11, 2008, Chris DeAngelis played his first show as The Breakfast's new bassist at Sully's in Hartford, CT. DeAngelis, a Connecticut native, has played with Vermont's Turkey Bouillon Mafia and shared the stage with members of P-Funk, Eric Kalb (Deep Banana Blackout), Dave Grippo (Trey Anastasio Band), Fred Hersch, Chris Parker, and others.

BeefStu plays Covers & Original music. Both focusing on improvisational rock music, as well as everything from classic rock, blues, funk, and fusion, putting in our own twist and turns along the way. Our sound is heavily influenced by the Grateful Dead, Phish, Max Creek, and others. The band Improvises and experiments with sounds and tempos to keep the music fresh and alive, making every show a different experience!BeefStu was formed in Franklin, NH in 2013, and started as a power trio with Chris and Nick Palermo, and Stu Leblanc. They played all covers and played sporadic shows wherever they could get booked for the first few years. Then in 2016, the three musicians met guitarist Travis Landry (and another musician, Dave McGahan, a drummer, who will come into the picture later on) who ran a full band open mic/ jam at the Woodstock Station in Woodstock, NH. They became the unofficial House Band for the open mic, and would usually play most of the night, and Travis began to join them on the stage more and more. In May of 2016, Travis officially joined BeefStu as their new Rythym guitarist. They started getting tighter and more experienced, especially during their time jamming at the open mic together, and we're now booking shows at better places but still not where they wanted to be. They start recording their first original music at the end of 2016. Stu's mother passed, unexpectedly and tragically, in Italy, during the holidays, and the band didn't play many shows for the winter. RIP Judy LeBlanc.Spring 2017: Now the band is starting to play places they fit in, and gaining more fans into their genre of music. They release their first Original EP, 'All Because of Stu' in the Spring/ Summer of 2017 on Digital Copy only (find this on livebeefstu/band camp.com). In the summer and fall they start playing all over the state of NH. The winter taken off, except for a short run of shows.In 2018, the band played a small tour in the Spring and Summer, playing in the northern New England States, and at a few well known Festivals and started gaining a bunch of new fans who love their style. But early into the Summer Tour, Stu steps down from the drum kit to focus on his personal life. It's a big loss for the band, but completely supported, with no bad feelings left on the table. With the band's namesake gone a lot of quick decisions had to be made, as there were contractual obligations that still needed to be fulfilled, as well as many other issues. The Band decided to keep the name, and bring in Drummer, and all around great musician (and person) Dave McGahan. Dave had played with the front three of the band numerous times in the past at the Woodstock Station open mics. The transition went fairly smooth because of this. Stu is missed, but the band lives on, and only getting better. There is more determination than ever to reach certain goals, and there's a fresh vibe in the air, as the four are all on the same page when it comes to what's expected and where they would like be in the future.

Jordan's musical adventures started as a child earning himself a scholarship at the Neighborhood Music School in New Haven Ct. Before the age of 21 he began attending the Sunday night blues jams hosted by the Robert Crotty blues band at a well known local music club and eventually became the house keyboardist. From then on Jordan became one of the areas favorite keyboard players working with various acts including former Marvin Gay musical director 'George Baker'. In 1996 Jordan joined CT's premier Grateful Dead cover band 'Shakedown' playing various clubs around the Northeast including multiple gigs at Toads Place in New Haven.He eventually partnered up with some home town friends from East Haven forming the jamband group 'Psychedelic Breakfast' recording 5 full length albums and touring the US and Canada playing many Music venues and festivals including Gathering of the Vibes, Moe Down, High Sierra and 10,000 Lakes and earning an award at the 2005 Jammy Awards. In 2011 he joined the Rhode Island jam group 'Viral Sound' continuing to hit the Northeast festival circuit. Jordans musical career currently continues to blossom having shared the stage with various well known acts including members of Living Colour, Parliament Funkadelic ,Max Creek, Pink Talking Fish,New Riders Of the Purple Sage, Zen Tricksters and many others. His versatile abilities have earned him the go to guy for live performances and studio sessions around the country.
